CARTOGRAHICS ASSOCIATES, INC UPDATE
CAI is moving right along with our mapping project. The aerial targets for the GPS ground control were placed and the GPS survey was completed in April. The aerial photography flyover took place on May 7th. The Town has received a control report, including flight index and control diagram, and photo contact prints. The next step will be to begin the compilation of the digital planimetric base map. This is the very accurate map upon which all parcel lines and other types of data are constructed and was the biggest missing process from the previous parcel mapping system. The base map will show photo-identifiable features such as roads, ponds, rivers, brooks, buildings, stone walls, fence lines, wetlands, etc. The process will take several months to complete and will be the last step to be completed with this year’s funding.
