Selectmen's Minutes
November 30, 2009
Present: Jim Trudell, Steve Moscicki, Donna Clark, Celine Presby
Absent: Elaine Sherry
6:05 pm Chairman Trudell called the meeting to order.
Manifests & Invoices:
The manifests for Nov 30th and Dec 1st were authorized and new invoices for future payment were reviewed and initialed.
Treasurer's Report:
- The Treasurer's Report was read showing a balance of $107,559.78 in the WGSB checking account, $29,198.53 in the NHPDIP fund, and $6,292.93 in the Laconia Bank savings account. Trudell motioned to approve the Treasurer's report as written, 2nd by Moscicki, so voted all.
- The Board authorized Presby to make an additional payment on the Tax Anticipation Notes on Dec 3rd; the amount to be determined by tax revenue received as of that date.
Permits and Applications:
A Building Permit for John Roche for a deck for Map 226 Lot 015 was denied as it did not meet the minimum setback from the road. He will be referred to the Zoning Board of Adjustment to request a hearing for a variance.
Meeting Minutes:
Minutes for Nov 23rd were reviewed. Moscicki motioned to approve the minutes as written, 2nd by Trudell, so voted all.
Correspondence:
The Nov 2009 Emergency Management News and a brochure on services offered by Primex were received.
Old Business:
Work continued on the 2010 proposed budget and possible warrant articles were discussed.
New Business:
- Clark is enrolled in LCG's Financial Account Reconciliation course being held Jan 12 & 26 in Concord.
- The 4th quarter Safety Committee meeting is scheduled for Dec 17th at noon.
- The Ogontz Hall project is wrapping up for the winter and the new septic system is being installed.
- The Selectmen are considering funding the Health Officer position as those responsibilities require knowledge and experience they don't have. Stan Borkowski, Health Officer for Lisbon and other local communities, may be asked to consider filling that position for the Town of Lyman for 2010.
Moscicki motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 pm, 2nd by Trudell, so voted all.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, Dec 7th, at 6:00 pm.
