Selectmen's Minutes

September 6, 2022 at the Town Hall

Present:  Bruce Beane, Thomas S Smith, Administrative Assistant- Heather Torres, Treasurer- Celine Presby, Road Agent- Tom Smith, Advisor to The Selectboard - Jim Trudell

Other: None

Chairmen Bean called the meeting to order at 6:10pm.

Manifests & Invoices

The manifests for 08/23/2022 and 08/29/2022 were authorized and new invoices for future payment were reviewed and initialed.

Treasurer's Report:
 

The Treasurer's Report was read and showed a balance of $101,341.16 in the WGSB checking account, $50,000 in the NOW account, and $403,492.58 in the WGSB Insured                                               Cash Sweep (ICS) account Smith motioned to approve the Treasurer's report as given, 2nd by Beane, all voted in favor.  

Meeting Minutes:

Minutes for the August 22, 2022 meeting were reviewed.  Beane motioned to approve the minutes as written, 2nd by Smith, all voted in favor.  
 
Committee/Department Reports & Needs:
 
HWY DEPT. Tom Smith reported on new loader.  Funds needed $250,000.  Ho-Sing-Loy motioned to approve new loader.  Beane 2nd motion, all voted in favor.  Smith will do
a follow-up report as to how munch he can get for a new loader "quote" includes thee bucket.  Ho-Sing-Loy motioned to approve, 2nd by Beane, all  voted in favor.
 
Permits and Applications:
The following was approved:
  1. Building Permit for the property located at Map#216  Lot#028
  2. Building Permit for the property located at Map#211  Lot#020
  3. Building Permit for the property located at Map#232  Lot#160
  4. Building Permit for the property located at Map#210  Lot#021
  5. Report To Cut- Brooks 240-1 Approved by Selectmen- Beane, Smith, and Ho-Sing-Loy.
  6. Intent To Cut- Cate 232-250 Approved by Selectmen- Beane, Smith, and Ho-Sing-Loy. 

Old Business

  • Letter to Rena Woods was reviewed and sent.

New Business

  • Status of the license renewal for the Lyman Pit was at hand.  Smith said that Jenn McCourt has agreed to do the renewal for the pit.
  • Resident is burning trash on Quebec Rd.  Dave Wiley the Building and Health Inspector will be contacted.

The Regular Selectmen's Meeting is Scheduled for October 3rd @ 6:00pm at the 

 Lyman Town Hall
